Beast was ruffled but he would not admit that he had been scared of such a tiny creature. He had just been afraid of hurting it was all...
"Please, be my guest..." He gestured, not amused at her teasing as he moved to let her lead the way.
At her previous words his tail swished curiously. So she could build more than just small sculptures with that magic? "You've had a lot of practice with that magic, haven't you?"

It seemed they both would be holding confessions--that were unfortunately obvious--close. She made no mention of his fright, just as he had made no mention of hers earlier.
She swept past him on the stairs, using a hand to detach her cape and send it back downstairs, where it folded neatly beside the fire, but not so close as to catch.
Holding up a hand, Elsa summoned a snowflake and watched it rotate slowly any inch above her palm. "I've had this magic all of my life. I spent thirteen years living in fear of it, but Anna helped me regain control. The secret was love, and I had been too afraid of hurting others to have control. It's only within the last year that I've started mastering what I can do." Elsa glanced up and down the hall and picked the closest door. With an inquiring look of 'are you ready' at Adam, Elsa reached for the door knob to open it.

Beast couldn't imagine living with magic, but he knew the fear part. Fear of others finding out what he was from the town, fear of losing control... though he'd done that dozens of times. He regretted each instance. "Anna is very close to you I take it. Even after all those years of ignoring her." He didn't mean it harshly, indeed, he wished he had someone who had that much love for him. Someone who could love him.
no He wanted to say at her question but this wasn't the time to get coward's feet, so Beast nodded assuredly and watched as she opened the door. When it was open he saw a room full of cloaked sheet furniture, but peering further in he could just make out a grand piano. His ears perked up at this but he kept close to Elsa as they listened for any sounds. None came. "Whatever it was must have left." He decided, or it was just hiding, he would take the former, at least so he could build up the courage to walk in to check out the instrument.
Walking up to it, Beast set a paw on the smooth dark wood, feeling contentment as he let his eyes wander. His mother had had a similar one that had been destroyed long ago in one of his fits of rage. He didn't think he'd ever see one again.

Elsa would always smile at the thought of how much Anna cared for her. "We are very close, and I wouldn't have it any other way. It hurt beyond belief to ignore her, but I thought it was better for her. I didn't want to risk hurting her again." Anna had endured up getting hurt again, but Elsa made no comment on that.
Adam nodded, so Elsa opened the door, throwing it wide. But there was no one within the room. "How odd," she murmured. She was prepared to go to the other door, but Adam had another thought.
He passed her, going toward the piano. Elsa followed, leaving a trail in the dust on the table as she passed. "Can you play?" she asked him.
