"Stop! Stop in the name of the ZPD!" Nick shouted as he was in pursuit of a shop lifter. His partner in crime wasn't around at the time, so this was his first real pursuit. He was going to make Judy proud of him and made the ZPD proud they hired him.
Running through the alleyways, he frowned as he rushed to give chase but was in a completely different area. "What the-?" What happened to Sahara Square? Everything around him was all rubbish and breaking apart. He wasn't even in that part of town. Hesitating in his motions, he looked around and reached down for his radio. "Office Wilde to dispatch." Scowling when there was only static, "Office Wilde to dispatch, come in dispatch." Still more static. "Perfect...." Stuffing the radio away for now, he sniffed around. Everything was so strange....

Ursula hummed to herself as she entered a dilapidated convenience store. Everything inside was surprisingly well-preserved, electricity still running and everything. Picking out various objects to make a meal on the fire pit she'd managed to construct nearby, as well as several bottles of water, she started to make her way outside....
.....and saw a small fox, dressed in some kind of blue outfit and standing upright.
"Huh," was her initial response.

Nick's ears perked up quickly at the sounds of someone near him, but the scent was extremely unfamiliar. Being extra cautious, he kept his paw on his taser gun and started to creep around. His nose was alert and his ears stayed up for the slightest breath, sound, or shuffle. An abandoned store was where he was lead. Had the thief run to hide in here? Scoffing softly to himself, he approached the door before it opened and something approached. Quickly he pulled out his taser and aimed it at the thing in front of him. "Freeze!" words: 097

Two things happened now: 1. Ursula reflexively backed up since this animal (a talking one at that) was acting hostile 2. She thought how much fun it would be to potentially draw him almost immediately as she did that.
"Hey there," she said in a soft, low voice. "I'm not gonna hurt you, I promise."

117 words This could not go wrong at all. asira was annoyed. She had assumed her quarry would be here, cowering in some dark, wet hovel like the vermin he was. But this city turned out to be another dead-end. In a monumental sulk, she kicked an empty aluminum can into a curbside storm drain. She had no other leads.
Just as Nasira was about to blow this popsicle stand, she saw a bipedal fox holding up a young woman across the street. Having lived in pre-Islamic Arabia all her life, Nasira had never seen a taser before. But it did not take a genius to tell that the thing "Officer Wilde" held was some kind of weapon.
She wanted to see how it would work.

His ears twitching in disbelief, he still couldn’t understand what on earth he was staring at. Was this some new animal that he had no idea that existed? Or was it a creature that was extinct where he was from but not here? Narrowing his eyes softly, his tail swished softly. Then it talked! What on earth did he get into last night? Did one of the others put something weird in his morning coffee to make him hallucinate? He bet they were just all laughing at him right now as he was stumbling around Zootopia about his babbling behavior.
“Who are you?! What are you?” Nick asked with a slightly challenging tone. There was a slight scent of animals on her but they were just faint enough, he couldn’t pick out what they were. Not long after that, the wind shifted so that he picked up the scent of something else nearby him. Glancing out of the corner of his eyes, he spotted a tall, lanky woman. She looked to be the same species of the person in front of him, but a much different build. Perfect.

"Well, as for who, name's Ursula. Pleasure to meet ya." She slowly lowered to the ground to get a better look at this guy. "As for what, well, I guess I could take offense to that, but I'm gonna cut you some slack since we're all in this weirdness together. Call me a human being. We're animals too, just different kinds, y'know?"
She didn't notice the strange, elongated woman watching them; her attention was all on this little guy.

rsula was not fazed. Wilde's grip on the chain of control seemed to be slipping one link at a time.
The fox and the woman must have done something to land themselves in this bingo cage of a world. Nasira had her orders, but she was nobody's hound. Every bloke involved in that spell had an ulterior motive. They were not friends even though a lot of them liked to pretend they were. Nasira felt it was not in her best interest to antagonize somebody else's problem. She already did what they asked her to do, and that should have been the end of it. She only cared about her quarry.
Nasira was intrigued by Wilde's taser, but she had work to do. There was nothing else for her to do here except one thing. She crossed the street.
"Hey!" Nasira's voice cut the flow of their exchange like a sharp blade. She unapologetically held up a small picture of the street rat she had been stalking tracking. "Have either of you seen this man?"

Taking a few steps back as the woman kneeled closed to him, he still didn't lower his taser gun. Keeping his finger close to the trigger, he scowled. Human? Just what was that?! She was awfully chummy for having the gun pointed at her. "You're no animal I have seen before, that's for sure." Now that she was closer, he got a good sniff of her and his instincts told him she wasn't a threat. Very slowly, he started to lower the taser.
That is until the other woman shouted sharply at them. He jumped softly and his fur stood up a little bit, it showing the most in his tail. Again, he raised his gun towards the taller woman, his ears low against his head. Studying the picture, he scoffed. "You two freaks are the only things I've seen around here." words: 142

A thin, dark-skinned woman dressed in fine robes came out of the shadows and unfolded a poster of a younger, also tanned man, asking if they had seen him. "Can't say I have, nah. And I'm NOT a freak, thank you." She glared slightly at the fox.

65 words I'm just going to assume Ursula walked away. ilde abruptly pivoted away from Ursula and aimed his taser at Nasira. The latter could now see the bright blue electric arc between its two electrodes. "A simple 'no' would have sufficed," she said brusquely. She put the picture away. What a rude fox.
"I'm not going to hurt you - unless you give me a reason to," Nasira promised. "I was just leaving anyway."

"That's what everyone tells me." Nick wasn't completely convinced this woman, or anything around him wasn't going to hurt him. Still, he took a chance and turned his taser off, slipping it back into his belt.
"That guy a friend of yours or something?" He indicated to the picture this tall woman put away. "You looking for him too?" words:
