Cheezi is an idiot. Mostly. He shows occasional moments of clarity and cunning, but they are few and far between. On rare occasions, he's the odd voice of reason in any of Janja's oddball schemes. For the most part though, he's just a silly doofus. He adores Janja as his older half-brother and thinks he's the coolest thing ever, and loves to run around and follow him in whatever schemes he can cook up to get food. He's also extremely greedy and loves to eat, although he rarely gets to on account of the Lion Guard.

Cheezi was born the youngest of three cubs, three cubs that belonged to Banzai, Shenzi and Ed. Since Shenzi allowed both Banzai and Ed to mate with her, the resulting litter was half Banzai's and half Ed's, with Chungu and Janja taking traits from Banzai and Shenzi, and Cheezi taking traits from Ed. Shenzi wasn't too happy about having only sons, and they're mostly idiots. Janja, being the know-it-all he is, decided to leave his mother's pack early because he didn't want to follow the rules, and his half-brothers Cheezi and Chungu followed suit.
Cheezi just followed Janja because Janja was cool and always knows what to do, and ended up living in the Outlands inside an active volcano. He went to sleep one day and woke up in totally unfamiliar territory, and unsure of what to do, he's still wandering lost, looking for Janja and Chungu.
