The last thing the princess of Corona remembered was reaching out to her friends as darkness surrounded her. Her eyes closed and she blacked out after that. It wasn't until she felt the lightness of a breeze and the tickle of the blades of grass against her cheek that emerald eyes shot wide open. Pushing herself up on both hands, wide eyed she glanced around to find herself in some sort of wide open field. Head turned left, right and upwards before looking back down and straight ahead. Where was she? This felt like leaving the tower all over again. Experiencing something new, and strange. "Eugene....Cassandra? Anyone?" She then gasped and looked down on the ground, before looking on her shoulder. "Pascal?" No one, not even Pascal or even Max was around. Rapunzel couldn't stay here, that's for sure. Even though the breeze and the grass it felt so....no. She couldn't just sit back and relax, she needed to find anyone. Preferably someone she knew. But anyone would do just fine, unless they were a mean and rude or malicious person. The outside world is a scary place, but she was much stronger than when she was in the tower and has come a long LONG way from being that sheltered and timid girl. And besides. If anyone did try to attack her, she had her hair. But what she kind of wished she really had....was a frying pan. Ursula was intent, concentrating as she sketched the massive, twisty tree in front of her. Sitting on a rock, she had managed to find it on one of her daily walks.
Taking a swig from a bottle of water, she gave the tree another look. "Aren't you a tall thing," she marveled, then got back to sketching.

As she walked on, there was still no sign of any living person anywhere. That was until she just happened to glance over to the left and saw what looked like a figure. Rapunzel was still a short distance away from the figure, but it was someone. A living person. Maybe, just maybe a familiar face. So off she went, running across the grass which felt cool and squishy beneath her bare feet. If there was one thing the blonde was still not used to, it was shoes. How could anyone wear them? They pinched your toes and so uncomfortable. "Hey, excuse me. Hello um...." When she got closer, her heart sunk a little. It was no familiar face, but it was a person. Tilting her head to the side, her eyes went straight to the picture that was being sketched. "That's really pretty. You're good at drawing." Her eyes left the sketch and looked up to the tree which was the image being sketched. Being an artist herself, she could tell when someone was good. And this woman was really good. So she decided to just admire the woman's art while talking. "I'm an artist too. I love to paint, I actually like to paint a lot." It was a hobby. She could also cook, and bake and clean. And being in that tower, painting was about all she could do to pass the hours. And she still painted in the castle in Corona. That is, when it was still there. ▲ 252 ● Open ● A Whole New World |

"Gah!" Ursula jumped slightly at the soft voice, whirling around to see a young woman with long, blonde hair and dressed in pink. "Do y'mind? You scared me half to death, kid."
Calming herself, she eyed the blonde with interest now. Especially given what she'd said. "Thanks for the compliment," she deadpanned. "I think we got off on the wrong foot, don't you think?"

Rapunzel jumped a little at the woman's reaction to her. "Sorry, sorry. I didn't mean to startle you. Wait, did you just call me a kid?" She was anything but a kid. Rapunzel was a eighteen year old girl, but she wasn't going to argue or start a fight with a person who could possibly help her. A nod was given to the woman when she was thanked for the compliment. Also, she was in agreement. They had gotten off on the wrong foot. "Yeah. We did. So, why don't we start over. Hi, my name is Rapunzel and I am from the kingdom of Corona. Now you." This woman's clothes, they were......so strange looking. What kind of clothes were those? What were they called? She was very curious to know. But for now it was best to start off slow. Only ask a few questions at a time. Because Rapunzel also wanted to know more about this woman's sketches. Just from that small glance, the blonde could tell this woman had a lot of talent. And the sketch was just so life like, almost as if the tree could jump off that piece of paper and join it's twin in the real world. Only black and white though. ▲ 209 ● Open ● A Whole New World |

Ursula waved it off as her heartbeat slowed. "Eh, water under the bridge. And sorry, I call anyone who looks even remotely younger than me kid." She stood and offered her hand. "Nice to meet ya, Rapunzel. Name's Ursula."
Her artist brain had already taken over and was thinking of ways to draw the small slip of a girl in front of her. That hair in particular was irresistible.

"Oh, really? I've never been called a kid before. My mo- uh Gothel used to call me flower, but that's because-" She bit her tongue before saying another word. It was best not to reveal that information to someone she just kinda met. Though, when she met Eugene and only after they traveled for a little. Got trapped in that little cave where water was filling it up, did she tell Eugene about her hair. This was a completely different situation however. "And Eugene well he calls me blondie." A small sigh escaped her lips as hands went to gently grasp some of her long locks, nervously stroking it. She hoped Eugene was alright, and every one else too. Especially her parents. Emerald gaze looked at the woman's hand as one of her own hands left the blonde locks, shaking Ursula's hand. "It's nice to meet you too Ursula. You wouldn't have happened to see anyone else come by, would you? Or a horse named Max or a little chameleon named Pascal?" ▲ 172 ● Open ● A Whole New World |
