Luckily, Simba and Nala could escape from the cold and dark forest, safe and fine. That place was quite creepy reminding Simba of the Elephant Graveyard all the time but this place they had just reached was different: there were no trees within the horizon, instead of them a large field with rock mounds lay in front of the two lions.
It seemed to be safe, well, leastwise Simba felt it safer than in the dark forest. He offered Nala to get some sleep at the rocks nearby before continuing their way to find their family. It had been a long journey so far and Simba felt very tired. The lion didn't need so much time and fell asleep immediately.
His sleep was not so perfect as he expected because some noises nearby woke the male up. Though the place seemed to be safe, Simba didn't want to leave nothing to chance. He stood up and before starting off, he glanced at Nala once more as he was hesitating to leave her behind here alone. Simba's ear twitched as he heard the noise again. Now he decided to check it out for his and Nala's safety.
'Just a quick check, I will come back soon, before Nala's awakening.'
Simba had never thought that he would meet someone again...

The elder lion growls at the sudden "guest" instinctively placing himself protectively over something... Or someone. He knew Simba by now was stronger since their last encounter. He himself, if he was honest with himself had also regained strength. Whatever the case, or reasoning, he would not let this lion near what he covered.
"Simba. Why must you show up at the worst times?" Sarcasm, he still had it. Whatever the younger's response, if anything, he'd likely simply dismiss it. Bright Green eyes pierced up at the younger.
Scar, simply, refused to move no matter how close the Pride Land's current King got to him, keeping a fixed gaze upon the male; while at the same time trying to keep curious paws protected. He snatches up a cub that had managed to get away, carrying it back to it's siblings. Sitting in the grass, he cautiously watched for his nephew's reaction, while keeping alert for the younglings to try sneaking off again.

Simba stopped as he heard a voice behind him, his eyes widened and his jaw dropped. It was not any voice, this was the voice, the familiar voice that he didn't want to hear in his life again. Simba immediately recognized it. The lion turned, his red eyes meeting Scar's green eyes Simba gave him a low growl with a frown. He wanted to seem confident but the truth was that he was trembling inside. A nightmare just came true. "Sc...Scar? Is it really... you?"

"In the flesh. You're a bit far from home, aren't ya?" He gave a small smile, though his pelt was covered in scars and burn marks he seemed... healthier, stronger. Was he larger? His mane certainly was fuller, if nothing else.
"My Pride will be back soon, care to meet your new nephews, nieces and cousins in the meantime?" The lion had a smirk this time, though it wasn't exactly evil. It was... different. "They're out hunting, simply..."
