[attr="class","hopelovetop"]
Not wanting to be fitting into the stereotype but Kenai is a rather lovable bear. He is extremely caring, even though he doesn't want to show it very often. Despite his caring nature, he can get annoyed super easily, especially when he has his mind set on something that he needs to do. If he gets interrupted by it, or if someone is too much in his personal space, he'll want to keep his distance.

[attr="class","hopelovetitle"]BIOGRAPHY
[attr="class","hopelovetop"]
Kenai is the youngest out of three brothers, born to an Inuit tribe in the north. All his life, he wanted nothing more than to be a man in his tribe and to prove himself enough to have his hand print on the wall of their ancestors. Despite all of the teasing and beatings from his older brother, Denahi, the day of his ceremony was a big one for him and was super exciting. The ceremony would allow him to receive his totem from their shaman woman and give him direction on what virtue to follow to become a man. However, his totem was rather lackluster and to say he was disappointed was an understatement. Instead of a mammoth or saber tooth tiger, he got....the bear of love![break]

But to him a bear wasn't capable of love. Needless to say, he hated the totem and Denahi teasing him over it didn't help at all. Denahi soon discovered as well that the fish basket Kenai was supposed to tie to a tree didn't get tied up properly and bears got into it. That caused them to fight and in his anger, Kenai went off to get his brother's basket. Going up the mountains, he found the destroyed basket and was about to leave until he heard the sound of a bear nearby. Picking up some rocks, he threw them at the bear to get its attention and to fight it. The bear was so much bigger than him and easily overpowered him. Thankfully for him, his brothers had followed him and worked on keeping the bear back. But in the scuffle, Sitka, the oldest brother cracked the glacier they were on with himself and the bear on it to save his younger brothers. He gave his life to save them and that night the tribe held a vigil for his spirit to return to the great spirits.[break]

The death of his brother hit Kenai hard and in his hurt, he went after the bear for revenge. Tracking the bear, he trapped it on top of a boulder and killed it. Yelling after the kill, the spirits came down on Kenai and with Sitka's guidance, used his power to turn Kenai into a bear himself. Throughout all the dizziness, he woke up in the river and with Tanana's instructions, he traveled to the mountain where the lights touch the earth. There he would be able to make up with his brother for whatever it was he did wrong. In his travels, he soon was accompanied by a cub, Koda, much to his dismay. Koda led him to the salmon run where Kenai would be able to see the mountain he was looking for.[break]
[break]
At the salmon run though as all the bears shared stories, he realized that the bear he had killed while he was human, the bear he had killed was Koda's mother. Shocked and devastated at the news, he hurt Koda when he confessed to the cub. Apologizing to him, he went off to the mountain to speak with Sitka. There he was face to face with Denahi who was trying to kill him, as Denahi had thought that he had killed Kenai. In the struggle, Sitka's spirit arrived and turned Kenai back to a human. But Kenai soon knew that Koda needed someone to look after him. As a final request of his brother, Sitka turned Kenai back into a bear and since then he had finally become a man. With his bear paw finally showing up on the wall, Kenai could live his life in the woods with Koda.
